Join us for a one day Artist talk and demonstration-based workshop with Justin Paik Reese!
Focusing on showcasing my own personal techniques that I use when building out larger composite forms. These techniques will include creating mounds of clay from smaller wedged pieces, centering maneuvers, specific shaping pulls, joining sections, and how I utilize the torch throughout all of this. I will also be sharing techniques that focus on geometrical layouts when preparing my work for carving and surface decoration.
The Day will include an artist talk, demonstration, and hands on time to practice carving techniques!

Join us for an intensive 4-day masterclass where Teacher Kwak will share and teach the traditional techniques of Korean Onggi making in a focused and engaging format. Classes will be taught by Teacher Kwak with his two apprentices, providing an excellent teacher to student ratio. Experience a unique and immersive opportunity designed for pottery enthusiasts.

This two-day workshop will cover the particulars of teapot design and craft for exceptional performance in steeping and serving high quality loose-leaf tea. Through the presentation of examples, demonstration of throwing and assembling components, and hands-on practice for participants, Jonathan will share the intricacies of what makes a teapot work gracefully and how to control these details in the making.

This two-day workshop will focus on faceting, fluting, and texturing techniques that introduce
geometric, organic, and tactile qualities to wheel-thrown pots. Alex will demonstrate how he
makes his signature bowls, yunomi, and bud vases, and discuss what informs and inspires his
pottery.
