8 Week Advanced Beginner Wheel: Handbuilding for wheel Throwers
With Sara Hensel
This quirky continuing wheel course is designed to broaden your approach to the potter’s wheel by treating the wheel as a tool for generating components and forms out of round. Students can expect foundational demonstrations (i.e. cylinders, bowls, plates, and closed forms) to be supplemented with options for alterations such as ovaling, squaring, paddling, dimpling, stretching, darting, stamping, and faceting. In pursuit of more articulate, dynamic forms, we will break down mugs, vases, pitchers, bowls, platters, jars, juicers, colanders, and more!
