4 Week All Levels Handbuilding: Coil Building ( Wednesdays 10am-1pm) July 9th - July 30th

A multi-week class dedicated to building objects with the coiling technique! Beloved by potters through time and across space, coiling offers endless opportunities for engineering and expression. This effervescent curriculum will cover generating coils, understanding types of pinches, drafting profile templates, and building articulate pots. We will have the opportunity to build larger bowls, planters, and vases, as well, so this course can also accommodate ambitious special projects. Expect the first two weeks to be loaded with demos and practice time so that you can set yourself onto special projects in the last two weeks of class!

Students will have full access to the studio during open hours for the duration of their 4 Week course (6am-2am All Days).

Shelf space, firings, and 25lbs of clay is provided to each student. Tools and other equipment are available at the studio for communal use.
