8 Week Intermediate Handbuilding: Finding Form (Fridays 530-830pm) July 11th - August 29th

Let’s get ambitious and thoughtful! In this continuing handbuilding class, we will use the Elements of 3D art and Principles of 3D design to guide our understanding of nuanced and well-composed objects. Expect the techniques from the typical toolkit— pinching, coil construction, and slab work— to get a healthy dose of additional seasoning! Early on, we’ll tackle assignments designed to push your technical skill and problem solving, and culminate with time for special projects— come with your stellar ideas and let’s find form!

Each week will consist of instructor demos and personal making time. Students will also have full access to the studio during open hours for the duration of their 8 Week course (6am-2am All Days).

Shelf space and 25lbs of clay is provided to each student. Tools and other equipment are avaible at the studio for communal use.

*Handbuilding Experience Recommended
